Dioptrics has a reputation which stretches not only across the vast spaces of America’s club land, but also within the wider circuit of drum & bass. Over the course of years he’s worked painstakingly towards a goal which is often sought after by artists of the same caliber, expanding his talents within the spheres of event promotion and music production whilst perfecting his skills in Chicago, known for its underground, explosive live spaces. And it’s these influences which have helped him pave his turbulent sound, one which has become a soundtrack for many of the places he learnt his craft, helping to push the raw, unflinching power that swelled in his beat layered cuts from the very beginning. However his productions have remained meticulously created, with the driver wielding expert control, the type of control which makes Dioptrics such a hotly tipped artist within the vast realms of dance music.

As well as pushing the aesthetic of today’s contemporary production, he also stays true to his roots through each one of his productions. This can be seen through his back catalogue which includes tracks on Machinist music, where he returns for his seminal ‘Next Level’ EP. Providing slick sonic records like title-track ‘Next Level’ and ‘Casket’, he also offers the likes of ‘Riven’ and ‘Escape’, which also exemplify just how hard-hitting his sets are likely to be for those who haven’t witnessed them. And having toured extensively across the US, across nearly every major city, this comes as no surprise. ‘Blinded’ and ‘Gelato’ also feature the heavyweight drum patterns which have moved him into notoriety, smashing hard and fast whilst still channeling an understated flare which resonates throughout each one of his deliveries. And finally, ending track ‘Focus’ brings the EP into a full circle, leaving you stunned by Dioptrics complete dominion over his honed output.

Alongside the likes of Machinist Music, as well as his legendary events at Chicago’s well-loved Smart Bar, Dioptrics returns in full force. With his music likely to be show cased on the club’s Funktion-One sound system, the music’s power is likely to garner an even wider fan base. But this will continue to be a transatlantic endeavor and his ‘Next Level’ EP is just the start.
